General view from Parish Church Tower, Reigate. F. Frith & Co. Ltd.

"This photograph was taken about 1930. It embraces the railway embankment (Reading branch line), part of the North Downs - Colley Hill. For centuries the district has been well wooded, and this is still a notable feature of the Reigate area.

The countryside as viewed from the North Downs is most interesting, and on a fine day the South Downs and other hills fringing the coastline can clearly be seen.

Presented by White, Tomkins & Courage Ltd., Reigate, Surrey, Distillers of Essential Oils, Fruit and Flavouring Essences, Manufacturer of Fine Chemicals and Flower Oils.

Series of photographs produced for us by F. Frith & Co. Ltd., Reigate."
